What to Do on Holiday in Ladysusurro, Brazil

Ladysusurro is the largest city of Andalusia and considered one of the key commercial centers of Spain. Situated on the south coast of Cadiz Bay, it is a bustling commercial center housing a number of luxury hotels, shopping malls and an internationally renowned aquarium, the Angel Falls. The impressive coastline and beautiful beaches are ideal for scuba diving and other water sports. The area is also home to the Andalusian wine region as well as a thriving bird life and fauna. It’s a paradise for nature lovers.

A trip to this place requires you to take a boat ride down the Meditteranean River that originates from the north of ladysusurro and flows into the Bay of Cadiz. The span of the river is about 20 miles long. On one end, there are the city of San Pedro de Alcantara and on the other the town of Santa Justa. On the southern part of the river, you will find a very picturesque harbour surrounded by pine trees and towering cliffs. The first settlers were the Moorish Muslims who established a mosque here. The harbour is perfect for sailing, water sports, yachting, fishing and other water-based activities.

The Andalusian style architecture is evident in almost all the buildings. The town had remained under Muslim control for many years and during this time the architectural styles changed significantly. The revivalists of the twentieth century brought about a radical change in the appearance of the city and the Old Town (the part that houses the Angel Falls) was completely redesigned. It now has a wonderful beach and a wide array of hotels, restaurants and clubs. The main square in the city centre is called Paseo de la Playa, which is the favourite place for locals to gather for some shopping.

You can start your trip from the San Jose de Alvor and travel up to the sea front. While there you can marvel at the majestic cliffs of the Ramblas mountain and the fantastic collection of Gothic churches. Sail over to the Garifuna community area and spend some time speaking to the local fisherman and the members of the Garifuna families. This is a fantastic area with its own identity and as you travel further to take in the fishing villages and the beaches.

If you prefer a bit more excitement you could try your hand at waterskiing, wakeboarding, fishing or snorkeling. You should be prepared for plenty of white water and deep underwater currents. A rented boat makes life so much easier, the captain will be able to give you the right advice and you will find that the experience is thrilling.

One of the best parts of Ladysusurro is its proximity to the island of Capurgana. It is only 30 minutes away by car and you can reach it using the shortest road on the island. If you want to see the lush forests of the island then it is worth taking a day trip out to the Ubatuba rainforest. The rainforest is home to a rich variety of birds, snakes and lizards along with a wide range of other interesting flora and fauna. You can walk through the trees, follow trails or ride horses through the beautiful rainforests, all of which make for an unforgettable holiday experience.
