Getting Traffic With Hoot And Share 2.0
Hoot_And_Share is a new social networking site from Buzz inward. It has features similar to Xanga and other social networking sites. It is designed for adult video and picture sharing. The site is free and is comparable in functionality to Livejournal. Xhamsterlive, on the other hand, is an adult-themed social networking site that claims to have more than two hundred thousand members.
When I tried to log in to Hoot_And_Share, it took a few minutes before I was able to access the site. I found an option called «MySpace Link». After clicking on it, a blank window opened up where I could paste in my link. Then I registered for a free account. The process was smooth and quick, at least at first.
A little later, a message popped up saying that my account was suspended. Apparently, some spamming had been done against Hoot_And_Share, and they had found a number of hacked emails in their system. Apparently this was the reason why they locked people’s accounts.
Thankfully, I was able to re-access my account. It was back to normal within a few minutes. Unfortunately, this didn’t stop me from trying to access Hoot_And_Share.
I opened up another email, but this one was from someone who claimed to be the «owner» of Hoot_And_Share. In the email he wrote that he was in need of help. He asked me a series of questions, including one regarding my business. I asked if he had heard of cyberstalking or sending harassing emails. He replied that he had not. I then asked him why he would want to hire me to «steal» information off of Hoot_And_Share.
His response? Because he needed a site manager. So he figured I could help him out by adding content to his site, which I did. He also asked me if I knew how to get more traffic. I told him that I do, and that is why I would be glad to help him out.
What I didn’t realize is that most people don’t know how to get traffic to their sites. They simply put up a site, slap some ads on it, and forget about it. However, if they have an experienced webmaster who knows how to go about getting their site noticed, they can benefit from his expertise.
Now, does this mean that I’m stealing the idea for myself? No. Not at all. I simply wanted to give it a try to see if it would work for me. If it doesn’t, then I will return the favor to him.
Besides, I already got the same information from Hoot_And_Share when I opened it. It’s free to get and I used it. I just found out that I got the same results. I don’t know if it’s because of me or because of the way the software works. Maybe someone somewhere figured out how to get more hits to their site.
